Responsibilities include the performance of technical work concerned with administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. Operating and monitoring respiratory equipment, such as, continuous and intermittent ventilators, medical gas delivery apparatus, incentive breathing/hyperinflation devices, environmental control systems, and aerosol devices; administering medical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications; maintaining clearance of patients natural and artificial airways; obtaining blood samples and interpreting blood gas data; and providing primary assistance in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

AMG Specialty Hospital - Oklahoma City is seeking PRN Registered Nurses, RN for All Shifts with ICU/Step-down/critical care experience.  Some of the medical conditions that are commonly treated include but are not limited to; Respiratory Failure requiring ventilation, vapotherm, high flow, bipap, cpap, and nasal cannula. Depending on the complexity of these patients, they can require sedation/pain management, pressor management, and cardiac/anti-arrhythmic management. Complicated infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics.  Chronic non-healing wounds requiring extensive treatment with wound vacs and frequent dressing changes. RN's will be responsible for direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting. Ability to communicate with physicians, CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. 

ICU, Step-down or critical care experience is preferred!
